Nerja is a great resort which retains a strong Spanish flavour and is popular with Spanish holidaymakers. The resort is well spread out with a choice of excellent sandy beaches. One of its most famous features is the Balcony of Europe - a promontory which just out from the cliffs into the Mediterranean.

Nightlife is laidback with lots of superb restaurants offering a range of eating options as well as a great choice of tapas bars, ice-cream parlours and cafes.

Malaga airport is around 75 minutes from Nerja.
